Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor is an American actor and producer. She graduated with a BA in Brown University in African-American Studies. The Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she earned an MFA. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer who is active in the fields of theater, film and television. Her career in acting began at the theatre. Then she appeared on various television series in independent films, mainstream and films. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she received critical acclaim and various nominations and awards, including her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. She made her professional acting debut as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. She has performed in Broadway as a part of Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted by her performances as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. The role she played as a regular in ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
